Sometimes we have to accept that not all materials or surfaces can be restored to their pre loss condition. In a fire, generally the seat of the fire experiences much more intense damage due to scorching/ burning and heat damage. Our experienced network providers recognise where these works are required and will recommend that attempting to retore these items will lengthen claim cycles and increase unnecessary costs.
Our network of specialist contractors are able to carefully remove items to be able to be reused should they be deemed fit to return as well as remove and dispose if required.
After Water Damage
As with fire damage, sometimes we have to accept that not all materials or surfaces can be restored to their pre loss condition. In water damage, we may need to remove certain materials or fitted furniture to enable the drying works. Some materials can encapsulate moisture following a leak or flood but our network of experienced contractors will only decide this as a last resort. Our contractors will always attempt to dry as much as we can in situ to reduce landfill and our carbon footprint.
