What is a moisture mapping and why is it important when understanding water damage?
Moisture mapping is in basic terms a plan showing where the moisture has spread and enables us to quickly find the amount of damage caused by an escape of water or a flood. Moisture mapping will also help find other sources of moisture ingress that may not be related to the cause of the original incident
At Response our contractors not only produce a 2D map with images but we can also also use our 3D scanners to produce a great visual tool to demonstrate the pattern of moisture migration throughout all types of structures
When we undertake a moisture map at our initial visit, we will usually do this in a non-intrusive method- we won’t damage you property until permission is given for an intrusive investigation
